NexGen Signs Agreement to Provide On-site Utility Scale Wind Energy

December 5, 2011.  Boulder, CO.  NexGen Energy announced today an agreement to provide on-site renewable energy to a major US-based automobile manufacturer’s facility in central Ohio.  The 5MW wind project, located directly at the manufacturer’s facility, will provide up to 10% of the facility’s annual energy needs.   ”On-site Renewable Energy continues to be an attractive tool for communities and facilities seeking to control long-term energy costs,” said Ronald Abramson, Chairman and CEO of NexGen Energy.


Maui County Awards Contract to Install Solar Panels on Twenty County Facilities

Boulder, CO. Maui County has selected NexGen Energy Partners of Boulder, CO and Gen-X Energy Development of Haiku, HI to develop over 3.0MW of solar electric projects at County facilities on Maui and Lanai.  NexGen Energy and Gen-X will utilize Haleakala Solar of Kahalui, HI as their installer and Bosch Solar Energy Corp of San, Mateo, CA, as panel supplier and co-project manager.

Wynford Schools Powered by Wind

NexGen Energy Secures Additional Investment to Build Wind and Solar Facilities

March 29, 2011.  Boulder, Colorado.  NexGen Energy partners received a substantial cash infusion from a Colorado-based private equity group to build out its wind and solar project pipeline in the Pacific Northwest, California, Ohio and Hawaii.  The funds will be used to support final development and construction of over 200 MW of utility and commercial scale wind and solar assets.


Ada Schools Wind Turbine Project Online

March 14, 2011. Ada, OH. Ada School is now powered by wind energy.  NexGen Energy completed commissioning of a 400kW wind turbine at the school, identical to the three wind turbines operating nearby at Ohio Northern University.  NexGen Energy has now provided school and university facilities in the Ada community with nearly 2 megawatts of wind power.


NexGen Energy Completes Commissioning of Two Turbines at Ontario Schools

March 4, 2011, Mansfield, OH. NexGen Energy completed commissioning of two Northern NW 100 Wind Turbines at Ontario Local Schools.  The two wind turbines are produced in Vermont and will provide the district with clean, stable priced energy for the next decade.  The turbines were installed at no capital cost to the district in exchange for the district purchasing all the energy produced by the two systems.  By partnering with NexGen Energy, the school can use the wind energy systems to free up funds for other critical education tasks and activities.  The wind energy systems are directly connected to the electric grid and will offset grid enegy when the wind blows.
